This webinar is in response to a meeting that was held on February 5, 2019, with Industry Stakeholders to discuss the issue. AAMVA is seeking feedback from various partners in evaluating the testing system. This test modernization effort will ensure that CDL testing continually evolves to reflect changes in technologies, industry practices, jurisdictional needs, and driver competencies. AAMVA also hopes the potential revisions may help address efficiency concerns in test administration while ensuring test validity and reliability.
The webinar will focus on how the test may need to be modernized to maintain safety standards for entry-level drivers while keeping pace with vehicle technology that has dramatically changed since the current test system released in 2005.
