Last week, CVTA school members Roadmaster Drivers School and 160 Driving Academy hosted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) at campus locations in Southern California.
FMCSA Office of Safety Programs Director, Patrick Nemons, and fellow FMCSA staff joined CVTA leadership for tours of training facilities that are delivering safety-focused entry-level driver training.
CVTA’s Executive Director, Andrew Poliakoff, and CVTA Chairman, Jerome Redmond, were on hand to guide the tour and emphasize the importance of ELDT enforcement and TPR compliance for positive safety outcomes.
CVTA thanks the FMCSA for their ongoing partnership and engagement with the truck driver training community. Thanks as well to Roadmaster President, Brad Ball, and 160 Driving Academy Owner, Steve Gold, for offering their time to host the FMCSA.
Engagement between CVTA members and federal regulators is critical for building awareness and relationships to advance industry goals.
