CVTA Welcomes Two Legal Externs

Aug 26, 2022

In our ongoing efforts to better serve our members with access to policy expertise, CVTA has brought on two legal externs to assist in creating written reports and blogs, researching member issues as they arise, and helping us structure various parts of the organization.

Jessica Remillard is from western Pennsylvania and moved to D.C. for law school. She has her B.A. from Penn State and is currently a 2L at American University Washington College of Law. She is interested in contract law or a similar field. During her time at CVTA, she will be focused on restructuring PTDI and providing policy recommendations to help make the non-profit a useful entity to our members moving forward.

Lauren Borsheim is from Green Cove Springs, Florida. She grew up about 2 miles from a large truck-driving school. She graduated from the University of South Florida and then spent a year with AmeriCorps. Today she is a 2L at George Mason University School of Law. She is interested in government, policy, and employment law. She will be working with our Director of Government Relations to assist in CVTA policy positions and papers.

As always, please reach out to the Association with any policy questions or concerns. We remain committed to our membership and would like to use every tool at our disposal, including our new legal externs, to serve our members.
