This week, 25 CVTA members came to Washington D.C. to participate in CVTA’s 2023 Hill Day, the first in-person Hill Day since 2020!
CVTA members had more than 50 meetings with Members of Congress, their staff, and staff members of key congressional committees.
Initial feedback from these meetings shows that we made an impact regarding improved ELDT awareness, support for legislation making truck driver training more accessible for veterans, and additional federal funding for training. Thank you to all CVTA members who participated and helped support this important event.
In the coming days and weeks, we’ll be following up with each congressional office that was part of CVTA’s Hill Day to build on the work of our members and advance CVTA’s legislative priorities throughout the year.
