Greg Koepel

GregGreg Koepel is Vice President of Workforce Development and Administration for Roehl Transport, Inc. Greg spent ten years in the Army: five years with the Michigan Army National Guard where he received the Outstanding Junior Officer Award for the 107th Engineer Battalion and five years with the U.S. Army. In 1990, Greg left the Army as a Captain to embark upon his civilian career.

For more than twenty years, Greg has been a Human Resources professional in the insurance, banking, manufacturing and transportation sectors. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Michigan Technological University ('85) and a Master of Arts Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix ('91). He has earned the prestigious Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Society for Human Resources Management. In 2006, Greg was recognized as the HR Professional of the Year by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) - the industry's largest trade group. A frequent lecturer on leadership and organizational development, Greg has presented to HR councils around the state of Wisconsin as well as at the annual Truckload Profitability Seminar at the University Of Georgia.

Greg has been a member of Roehl’s executive leadership team for over thirteen years where he has led the development of The Roehl Way of Protective Driving, which teaches drivers about values and the safe driving behaviors that support those values; the Honor Program - Roehl’s Heavy Duty Truck Driver Apprenticeship program approved by the U.S. Departments of Labor and Veterans Affairs; and the company’s Safety and Job Skills Training Program, which prepares drivers with CDL school completion and no experience for a career as a professional truck driver. He is also a member of the Executive Board of the Samoset Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), recently named the number one council in the nation for 2012 based on BSA success metrics.
